MPSC CIVIL SERVICES EXAMINATIONS IS CONDUCTED IN THREE STAGES

Preliminary examination is consists of paper I and paper II. Both the papers are objective with negative marking for wrong answers.
A) Paper I : 100 Questions / 200 Marks
B) Paper II: 80 Questions / 200 Marks
GENERAL STUDY I – SYLLABUS :
CURRENT EVENTS of state, national and international importance. HISTORY of India (special reference to Maharashtra) and Indian National Movement.
MAHARASHTRA, INDIA AND WORLD GEORAGAPHY – Physical, Social, Economic Geography of Maharashtra, India and the World. MAHARASHTRA &INDIA, Policy and Governance Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights issues etc. ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives etc. GENERAL ISSUES on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change – that do not requires subject specialization. GENERAL SCIENCE.
GENERAL STUDY II – SYLLABUS :
Comprehension Interpersonal skills including communication skillss including communication skills, Logical reasoning and analyticalability Decision making and problem solving General mental ability basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc)(class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, datda sufficency etc. Class X level) English Language Comprehension Skills (Class X level).
MAIN EXAMINATION & PERSONALITY TEST
Main examination is also objective MCQs consists of total six papers in which two papers are partly objective and partly subjective. General Studies has four papers of 150 marks each.
Language paper like Marathi and English having 100 marks each and time duration to solve the examination is 3 hours. Its syllabus content are HSC level and having traditional exam pattern. While all the for general studies paper are of 150 marks each and time duration to solve the exam is 2 hours. The syllabus content for these paper are equal to graduation level exam pattern is objective type. You can choose either english or marathi language to solve the examination.
